Free Math contest for 4th and 5th graders on Saturday January 28, 2012
Please attend upcoming open house to learn more about our programs.
Date: February 6th
Time: 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Dear Parents,
We know that your decision to place your child at your school of choice is based on your dreams for their bright future. It is not an easy decision. We think that you have a story to share with other parents about why you chose the charter school your child attends. By sharing your story, you will help others to achieve their dreams for their kids.
To gather these stories, we have organized an Annual Parent Essay Contest. A team of judges will select 5 winning essays with a monetary prize of $250 for each one. If you decide to donate your reward to your child's school for a purpose that you specify, Accord Institute for Education Research will match the prize. The total monetary reward will amount to $500. The winners will be announced on February 1st, 2012.

Accord Institute for Education Research Team
After receiving first place in the JPL Invention Challenge preliminaries in Orange County for the second time in a row, PTS team attended the finals at the NASA JPL headquarters in Pasadena, CA. PTS Invention Challenge Team got 8th place out of 26 teams. "We were a centimeter from qualifying for the finals. For a team of 6th to 8th graders, even attending the finals is a huge accomplishment," commented Mr. Lynaugh, our parent volunteer who coaches the PTS Invention Challenge Team. PTS team also received the "Most Unusual Entry" certificate for their unique design.
Way to go, team!
